Why not hire someone who can help?
I don’t “ping”; I communicate. I don’t “close the loop”; I finish what I start. I don’t “throw some ideas out there”; I do things. Hire me if you want words that are clean and clear, stories that are fresh and compelling, approaches that are crisp and new. Hire me if you’re exhausted by people who—instead of original ideas—have thoughts and opinions and notions and feedback, who are the first to “jump on a call” and never miss a chance to reply-all. Hire me if you want someone who shuts up, hunkers down, and follows through. I’ll never spend 10 minutes ambling my way on up to a preamble—no throat clearing, no chest thumping, no bandwagon jumping, no cliché humping.
I’ve worked at New York magazine, Allure, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Reader’s Digest, and Condé Nast’s Content Development Group, where I headed up a staff of editors who created compilations for Vanity Fair and Architectural Digest as well as tribute issues about American politics, British royalty, and international celebrities (David Bowie, Taylor Swift, Prince). I am currently the editor of Mosaic, a lifestyle magazine for Morgan Stanley clients.
